With the performance competition of the German association for craft workers, which measures top performance every year on the basis of the journeyman's examination, Lorenz Schmid took the top spot in the competition for technical product designers in machinery and system design. He is thereby the chamber’s winner in Lower Bavaria and Upper Palatinate and has written a further chapter in the thoroughly successful history of training at F.EE - a number of trainees from the company group from Neunburg vorm Wald have received accolades in the past from the government, chambers and associations; also including Bavaria’s best electronics trainee for automation technology in 2014. The ceremonial presentation of certificates to the 56 best trade apprentices from Eastern Bavaria and their training organisations took place in Passau in the presence of numerous honoured guests. Chamber vice president Konrad Treitinger congratulated the trainees and their training companies. He appealed to the winners to convey their positive experiences to the outside world. “We all need to be ambassadors for crafts and trades.”
The skills competition, which has been running since 1951, counts among the largest and most traditional in Europe. The competition serves to present training services to the public and to promote the vocational training of trades and crafts.
